The New Jersey Devils, a team who walked through hell (well come to think of it, doesn't sound so new for a devil) to get to the Final, and the Los Angeles Kings, who have created a Hollywood script for the ages, will meet tonight in game one of the Stanley Cup Final at 8PM on NBC. Both teams took very different paths during the regular season, the Devils being criminally underrated throughout the year, posting a 48-28-6 record for 102 Pts. While the Kings fired their coach Terry Murray early in the season, his replacement Darryl Sutter led the Kings to a 37-19-7 record following Murray's dismissal, sneaking into the playoffs as the eight seed. New Jersey's head coach Peter DeBoer in his first season with the Devils, has brought aggressive and smart forechecking into his team. I apologize for the long wait. It has been a while since I posted. But I am back with an abundance of information regarding a rather enjoyable night with Buffalo Championship Wrestling at the Lake Erie Italian Club in Lackawanna on Saturday. BCW's "Lake Erie Mayhem" featured six matches on the card, including the main event that involved former TNA/WWE/WCW wrestler "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner and "Retro" Rex Atkins, taking on the Killer Steve's in a tag team contest. But the evening began with Bryan Castle vs Bobby Sapphire. Both men weighing in over 315LBS each, and take a guess at who was officiating that match? It was yours truly. It was my very first match as a referee in pro wrestling. After I was introduced I received some boos as usual in sporting events for referees to deal with.
